With the ever-growing pressure of social media, unattainable body ideals, and fast-fashion showcasing clothes sizes that vary massively from one store to another – the women of today are faced with mounting pressure to ‘conform’. I’m Sejal, founder and designer of Sejal Anujah Shah. A brand that was born from a desire to bring unity between cultures through fashion, and help women feel good about themselves and their bodies. I design for the modern woman of today. The women who want to stand out. The women who aren’t afraid to express themselves. The women who don’t fit into any pre-defined boxes, but boldly pave their own path. The women who want more.
I have worked with so many clients over the years, many of whom have become close friends and support my journey as an independent designer that strives for individuality and empowerment. You will see my clients featured throughout this brochure and I can say I am truly blessed and proud to have the pleasure to have worked with them. Sejal Anujah Shah
Having founded my namesake label Sejal Anujah Shah in 2015, I bring a wealth of experience in couture techniques and a deep understanding of garment construction. I work closely with each client to design their desired ensemble before producing it with superior quality craftsmanship. Every creation is a handcrafted masterpiece, meticulously constructed with exceptional care and attention to detail. My style combines classic sophistication with elements of Indian heritage, catering to women of all shapes and sizes.
I believe in the opulence of bespoke, made-to-measure fashion and the timeless investment it represents. Embracing ageless couture techniques and drawing inspiration from my Indian heritage, my designs infuse classic styles with a modern aesthetic.
I carefully select fabrics exude exclusivity, longevity, and luxury, ranging from an array of silks, crepes, wools, and more. The use of embroidery and embellishments further enhances our styles, transforming them from simple to sublime.
So much of how I operate in Sejal Anujah Shah comes from my personal experiences in life - from navigating through body dysmorphia and my own struggles with feeling sexy and confident in my clothes. Growing up, I wasn’t aware of the negative impact that fast fashion has on our world but knew that I had a love for all things red carpet glamour and vintage couture. As I have grown into my career and exposed myself to strong world views, I decided that it was vital to be to carry a strong ethos through what I am building as a brand, and what I create as a designer.
